Terms of Service

Jacob Local Locksmith provides residential, commercial, automotive, safe and emergency locksmith services in The Gap, QLD and surrounding suburbs. We will carry out the work with due care and skill, using materials fit for their purpose.

For non-emergency work we provide a written quote up front. For callouts we give you an indication of cost over the phone and confirm the price on arrival before work begins. Work is only carried out once you have agreed to the quoted price.

Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking. A callout fee may apply where we attend but the work cannot proceed for reasons outside our control.

You confirm that you are authorised to request access to the property, vehicle or safe we are asked to open. Where there is any doubt about authority, we may request reasonable evidence of entitlement before proceeding.

We take care when working with existing locks and hardware. However, older, worn or corroded mechanisms can fail during normal servicing. Where this occurs we will explain the situation and quote any additional work before proceeding.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

You may cancel a booking by phone or email. Where we have already dispatched and a cancellation is received after arrival, a callout fee may be payable. We may also reschedule where circumstances (such as an emergency callout) require it, and will communicate any change promptly.
